About this Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 11) list

Header: Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (device xiaoyushan, MStar/MediaTek m7322), Android TV 11, firmware RTT2.221108.001

(build 00.00.00.18), security patch 2023-12-05. 1.8 GB RAM, 32-bit userspace (armeabi-v7a only: sideload armeabi-v7a or universal APKs). Same set as hisense-hismarttv-a4 after its Android 11 update. ADB: turning USB debugging on opens network ADB on port 5555 directly (service.adb.tcp.port=5555, adb_wifi_enabled=0); no Wireless debugging pairing needed. ro.adb.secure=1, so the TV asks "Allow USB debugging?" on first connect. Applied in three batches (group 1, group 2, then groups 3 and 4 together), ~15 s wait and a reboot after each: normal boot every time, all 7 TV inputs still registered (HDMI 1-4, composite, two tuners), and switching to HDMI 1 from the launcher's Inputs menu works. This firmware mixes the package namespaces of the Android 9 A4 list (com.mstar.*, the xiaoyushan autoinstalls) and of hisense-smarttv-4k-ffm (com.hisense.evservice, service.message, b2b, alexa, VIDAA). Most of the Android 9 list is gone here: com.hisense.app.logreport, com.hisense.storemode, fusion.android.tv.demo, com.seraphic.browser, com.google.android.leanbacklauncher(.recommendations), com.google.android.music, com.hisense.myapplication, com.google.android.apps.nbu.smartconnect.tv. Stock launcher: com.google.android.tvlauncher (the default in restore.sh), with Shop and Discover tabs and a full-width sponsored hero banner that only the launcher swap removes. setupwraith is installed but does not claim HOME on this firmware, and the Wi-Fi saved at setup belongs to android.uid.system, so it is not in this list. launcher/build-and-install.sh worked unchanged and Home survives a reboot. Input key: the remote's Input button sends KEYCODE_TV_INPUT (scancode 184). The framework routes it as a global key to com.mediatek.wwtv.tvcenter, which starts com.android.tv.action.VIEW_INPUTS, and the only handler of that action is tvlauncher's InputsPanelActivity. With the stock launcher disabled the key does nothing (ActivityNotFoundException in logcat); use the launcher's Inputs pill. Do NOT disable: com.hisense.tv.smartsense, com.vt.tv.smartsense.ui (the smartsense family sent the Hisense FFM set to Android Recovery), com.mediatek.* (wwtv.tvcenter is Live TV and HDMI; autopair, hotkey.dispatcher, tv.agent), com.hisense.tv.hitvinput (HDMI/AV/tuner inputs), com.hisense.kpad and com.hisense.favkey (remote keys), com.mstar.netflixobserver (Netflix key), com.vidaa.persistent.service, com.hisense.tv.smartservice, com.hisense.tv.customerlauncher, com.hisense.uifac, com.hisense.audio_update_service, com.vt.eula. Left alone as well: com.hisense.tv.protector ("Device Assistant" cleaner) and com.hisense.mixbar. Kept here and optional: firmware updates (com.hisense.tv.ota, com.hisense.remoteupgrade), YouTube, Chromecast (mediashell), Assistant (katniss), Screen Sharing / Miracast (com.mediatek.androidbox), RemoteNOW (hisremotenow, hisremotenowserver), DLNA (com.hisense.tv.dlna), USB media player (com.jamdeo.tv.mediacenter), Ambient screensaver (com.google.android.backdrop). Already disabled at the factory: com.google.android.videos, com.google.android.play.games, com.google.android.youtube.tvmusic, net.vidaatv.android.tv, air.com.vudu.air.DownloaderTablet.

Before you run it: every package below is disabled, not uninstalled. Comment out (prefix with #) any line for an app you use. Never disable the Play Store, Play Services, the on-screen keyboard or the TV input services that play HDMI. Switch USB debugging off when you are done.

Apply the Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 11) debloat

Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:

export TV_HOST=192.168.1.50   # your TV's IP address
tools/venv/bin/python -I tools/tv.py --probe
tools/disable.sh examples/hisense-hismarttv-a4-android11/debloat.txt

Then build and install the clean launcher, which makes itself the default Home and rolls back if it fails:

TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 launcher/build-and-install.sh

Prefer to let an assistant do it? Paste the cleanyourtv prompt into Claude Code with "Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 11)" as the model; it reads this list, checks each package on your TV and asks before anything that depends on your preferences.

Restore the Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 11)

TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 tools/restore.sh examples/hisense-hismarttv-a4-android11/debloat.txt

The restore script replays the state recorded before the change, so Home goes back to the launcher that owned it. More in the restore guide and the Android TV debloat guide.
