How to debloat a TCL TV with cleanyourtv
TCL sells more Android TV and Google TV sets than almost anyone, under platform names like BeyondTV, UnionTV and Smart TV Pro, and with Realtek or MediaTek chips. That spread is why TCL has the most tested cleanyourtv lists of any brand.

Before you debloat a TCL TV
A few China-market TCL sets refuse to install any third-party launcher; their lists say so in the header. On some Google TV models the remote's Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video buttons rely on the stock launcher, which the list notes explain.

Debloat a TCL TV step by step
- On the TCL TV: Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times, then turn on USB debugging (and Network/ADB debugging if listed) in Developer options.
- On a computer on the same Wi-Fi, clone the cleanyourtv repository, or open Claude Code and paste the cleanyourtv prompt with your TCL model number.
- Accept the "Allow USB debugging?" prompt on the TV.
- Back up the package list, then apply the closest TCL list in small batches:
tools/disable.sh examples/<model>/debloat.txt. - Install the clean launcher with
launcher/build-and-install.sh. - Switch USB and network debugging off again when you are finished.
