software V8-R851T02-LF1V606), Android TV 9 (API 28), build PPR1.180610.011 AP06, security patch 2020-09-05, 2 GB RAM. Freeview UK apps preloaded (factory-disabled). Different firmware from the India BeyondTV in examples/tcl-beyondtv/, which is a separate list. Stock launcher: com.google.android.tvlauncher (restore.sh default). Other HOME claimants are only fallbacks: com.tcl.keycustomfunctionservice/.FallbackHome and com.android.tv.settings FallbackHome. Live TV app: com.tcl.tv. HDMI inputs: com.tcl.tvpassthrough. Tuner: com.tcl.tvinput. Install the launcher BEFORE group 5: com.tcl.tvweishi and com.tcl.appmarket2 both carry a PackageInstallerService, and persist.tcl.whitelistpath points into appmarket2's data. Tested 2026-10-19 on a real unit, applied in the six groups below with a screenshot after each: Wi-Fi stayed up, D-pad, TCL's source menu, the launcher's Inputs menu (HDMI via TvInputManager works, no source_panel fallback needed), Netflix, Settings and Home from HDMI all worked, also after a reboot. Quirks on this firmware: - `input keyevent KEYCODE_TV_INPUT` is an "Unhandled key"; the remote's Source button goes through TCL's own path. TCL's source menu opens with am startservice -n com.tcl.sourcemananger/com.tcl.insrc.ShowWindowService -a com.tcl.insrc.SHOW_WINDOW - TvInputManager reports AV as connected (state 0) with nothing plugged in. - screencap is blank over HDMI and Netflix (secure surface). Press Home first. - TV 2 Play 6.74.0 (no.tv2.sumo) deadlocks in TV2Application.onCreate and ANRs, from the stock launcher too (an ANR before any change). App bug; update it from the Play Store. - The voice processes (voice_ap, katniss:interactor) used ~45% of one core all the time. Group 6 stops katniss (~22%); voice_ap is a native firmware daemon and keeps running without root. - The clock ran 6 h fast with automatic time on (last NTP success months earlier). Toggling `settings put global auto_time 0` then `1` forced a fresh sync. Already disabled at the factory, left alone: the 14 uk.co.freeview.* apps, com.tcl.bootadservice, com.tcl.common.terminalmanagerplus, com.tcl.usercenter, com.tcl.smartalexa, com.tcl.notereminder, com.tcl.gallery, Prime Video, Stan, ZEE5, LINE TV, Rakuten TV, Play Music, Play Games. Apply the TCL BeyondTV (Android TV 9, rt2851) debloat

Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:
