About this Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 9) list

Header: Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (device xiaoyushan, product xiaoyushan-em, MStar/MediaTek m7322), Android TV 9

firmware PTMR.190127.037 (build 01.00.00.04), security patch 2020-05-05. Sold in India. ADB: Developer options has USB debugging only, no Wireless or Network debugging toggle. Turning USB debugging on opens network ADB on port 5555 directly. Applied in the four groups below with ~15 s wait and a reboot after each (as the Hisense FFM list advises): normal boot every time, HDMI 1-3, AV and the tuner still listed by the TV input framework. Stock launcher: com.google.android.tvlauncher (the default in restore.sh). It is not in this list: launcher/build-and-install.sh disables it after the new launcher is running. The stock home shows a full-width "Sponsored" banner and a sponsored row, which only goes away with the launcher swap. Keep: com.mediatek.* (Live TV, HDMI, hotkeys, factory), com.hisense.tv.hitvinput (the HDMI/AV/tuner inputs), com.hisense.kpad (remote's menu key), com.mstar.netflixobserver (remote's Netflix key), com.hisense.tv.customerlauncher, com.hisense.uifac, com.hisense.audio_update_service, and com.hisense.tv.smartsense (left alone because of the Recovery warning in hisense-smarttv-4k-ffm). Kept by choice: Chromecast (mediashell), Assistant (katniss, pumpkin), Miracast receiver ("Screen Sharing", com.mediatek.androidbox), YouTube. Already disabled at the factory: com.google.android.backdrop, com.google.android.apps.inputmethod.zhuyin.

Before you run it: every package below is disabled, not uninstalled. Comment out (prefix with #) any line for an app you use. Never disable the Play Store, Play Services, the on-screen keyboard or the TV input services that play HDMI. Switch USB debugging off when you are done.

Apply the Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 9) debloat

Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:

export TV_HOST=192.168.1.50   # your TV's IP address
tools/venv/bin/python -I tools/tv.py --probe
tools/disable.sh examples/hisense-hismarttv-a4/debloat.txt

Then build and install the clean launcher, which makes itself the default Home and rolls back if it fails:

TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 launcher/build-and-install.sh

Prefer to let an assistant do it? Paste the cleanyourtv prompt into Claude Code with "Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 9)" as the model; it reads this list, checks each package on your TV and asks before anything that depends on your preferences.

Restore the Hisense HiSmartTV A4 (Android TV 9)

TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 tools/restore.sh examples/hisense-hismarttv-a4/debloat.txt
